ur Secondary English programs have been written to transition students towards an international curriculum with a focus on satisfying Cambridge ESOL requirements (Pre-Intermediate – Advanced) and aligning to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFL) published by the Council of Europe (B1 – C1). Secondary Programs are theme based and lay the foundations in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The Secondary Program culminates with a Pre-Uni Course which prepares students for universities with specific practice on Academic Essays and Academic Presentation, including proper Citation. Our TOEFL iBT Prep Program covers all of the elements of Reading Comprehension, Listening Comprehension, Speaking and Writing, for both independent and integrated tasks of the TOEFL iBT test with a proven record.

Speaking
and Listening
Students are given many opportunities to interact, develop and express ideas orally and to think creatively. Discussions, debates, presenting ideas, defending opinions, identifying and solving problems verbally, conducting interviews, pronunciation activities, listening comprehension and so on, help develop fluent speech, strong verbal communication skills and confidence.
Writing
Skills
Our Secondary programs are designed to help students master the subtleties of the written language and experiment with different writing styles. Using a wide range of themes and various text types as a springboard, the students are given the opportunity to write on many different subjects and in many different styles.
Reading and Thinking Skills
Students are encourage to read and understand a wide range of challenging written texts to foster good reading habits, to increase knowledge and to develop creative thinking skills, including Classic Literature and Poetry. Extensive practice is provided on reading comprehension, reading aloud with expression, skimming and scanning for information, deducing word meanings from contextual clues, and so on. Students are placed on individual reading programs which aim to challenge and expand reading skills through literature exposure.
Expanding Vocabulary and Knowledge of Grammar
Structure
Our Secondary programs build a student’s vocabulary so that he can express himself more clearly and accurately. Students are taught connotation of words, idiomatic speech and phrasal verbs, and how to understand meaning of new vocabulary through context. Students are given a sound knowledge of the rules, functions and structures of the English language and are taught to use grammatically accurate English in increasingly more complex speech and writing.
