English programs for children 4 – 7
years old
ur Nursery,
Kindergarten and Preparatory English Programmes have been developed to provide children with the necessary skills to prepare
them for English Language learning at higher levels. Children enjoy an
integrated and experiential approach to learning in a friendly and stimulating
learning environment. Firm in the belief that children learn best when
they are having fun, our Early Years programmes have been carefully designed
to combine very focused learning activities with specific learning outcomes
with a fun, experiential approach that allows the children to make their
own discoveries and learn at their own pace. All classrooms are spacious
and designed specifically for the learning needs of young children.
The teachers who work with our Nursery, Kindergarten
and Preparatory children are carefully selected not only for their qualifications
and experience but also for their warm and caring approach. Through hands–on
learning experiences the children are immersed in a language-rich environment
in which they are encouraged to explore and discover, questions and develop,
experiment and create.
Come to Flamingo to learn to read
and practice English conversation.

In our Nursery, Kindergarten and Preparatory Programmes your child will:
- Approach language and literacy skills through thematic, integrated
learning activities which will give him a firm foundation in the key
areas of speaking, listening, vocabulary, reading and writing.
- Follow a comprehensive, structured phonics program beginning with
single letter sounds, such as “Apple, apple a..a..a”, to
reading short phonetic words, longer phonetic words, and onto non-phonetic
reading, to lay a solid reading base for future development. We utilize
the ‘Montessori’ approach to reading development complemented
with innovative reading aides imported Singapore and Australia.
- Learn songs and rhymes to develop good pronunciation, intonation and
expression.
- Practice correct letter formation and develop fine motor control.
- Have opportunities for the creative exploration of concepts and themes
through a variety of guided activities including artistic expression.
- Acquire a rich and expressive vocabulary.
- Be introduced to grammar principles practiced in a logical manner
using the Montessori boxes to guide correct structure of English sentences.
- Improve interpersonal and social skills and develop a curious, questioning
learning attitude.
Our approach to teaching in the Early Learning years is that an active,
stimulating, nurturing learning environment is the key to creating happy,
motivated children who are eager to learn ... and understand.
....where children learn to read,
speak and write English well ... !
